 Irish Joy For Eastern Duo

EAST ANGLIAN match pals Will Freeman and Andy Leathers are the 2019 World Pairs Champions, defeating 59 rival duos after five days of intense Irish match fishing.

A total weight of 130 kg 735 g enabled Will and Andy to clinch the coveted trophy and land a cheque for €10,000 ahead of 2017 winners Michael Buchwalder and Rod Scott, whose 125 kg 475 g total earned them a €5,000 consolation cheque.

Framlingham, Suffolkbased Will and St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, rod Andy forged their friendship during a decade as teammates in the Browning Hot Rods squad in the late-’90s and early 2000s.
