Hands up who’s watched the celebs in Bear Grylls’ Hugely popular TV show Running Wild and wondered how they’d get on if it were them rather than Mel B or Courtney Cox facing their fears and pitting their wits and strength against nature? A lot of it’s in your head, says Grylls, and being able to keep going, even when you’re cold, hungry and hurting. Enter Bear’s new BMF class, Military Ops. Designed to give you the perfect full-body workout that also challenges your mind, it’ll have you outdoors in all weathers, embracing the mud and building camaraderie as you go…

H&F: What are the benefits of an outdoor workout such as BMF?

BEAR: ‘I love to train outdoors. It’s a chance to disconnect with the world and breathe some non-gym fresh air! There’s something very empowering about training outdoors. All BMF workouts are with a fun, motivating instructor so you have a trusted guide with you every step of the way. That’s so important for results. Our instructors are always a very empowering part of the experience. Physical fitness is so important for mental health and, when you add the community, the outdoors and the friendships built at BMF, it’s no surprise we’re growing so fast.Ì“

H&F: What does a BMF workout offer that other workouts don’t?

BEAR: ‘BMF gives people a chance to train outside, to experience camaraderie and, at the same time, to reach their fitness goals. Community is an even more important part of our DNA than fitness.
