Born To Dream Big

“I was born in Mumbai to a family of doctors and brought up in a simple environment. I was very keen on going to the US to pursue my higher education, but I didn’t want to burden my parents financially. So, I took up a part-time job, won scholarships and by the age of 18, I was financially independent.”

“While in New York, I did a stint at Goldman Sachs, but was not happy with it. I realised financial services was not my thing at all. Post that, I worked with a few start-ups but that did not sustain my interest either. I was more driven towards leadership and responsibility-oriented roles. I moved back to India in early 2000. Working alongside my father, I learnt what he was doing on a day-to-day basis at the lab. Eventually, I came to the conclusion that for the lab to grow, it would need the efforts of more than just my father’s. And that awoke the entrepreneur in me.”
