So, first off, dumb question, but how do you say your last name?

Kuh-DAR. That’s not a dumb question. That’s probably one of the better questions, ha ha.

And then your nickname is Gigi?

Yeah. My dad’s Egyptian, and in Egypt, the nickname for Jahan, my middle name, is Gigi. So he started calling me Gigi when I was a baby. It’s weird if anyone in my family calls me Ariel.
