When I was young, during Diwali time this was a regular household affair. After completing the routine house work, my mother and grandmother would start this project. However, at that time it was more of cleaning than clearing, as things were limited. So discarding had to be done judiciously! I have followed the tradition not only during Diwali, but on a regular basis, and it is helping for sure. This time, I went a few steps further. I cleared up things which not only led to de cluttering of unnecessary stuff from the house, but also helped to empty the mind!
