I was born and raised in Chatsworth, Durban. I live in Pinetown now, but the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Chatsworth really formed who I am. It certainly shaped the way I cook. The history of Indian people in KwaZulu-Natal is long and complex. It has been filled with so much of joy and pain, but it has all come together to create this unique culture. There is nowhere like Durban.
