Multifaceted design studio Masquespacio creates bold yet minimalistic impressions with strong sensory appeal
Interior designer Ana Milena Hernández and marketing expert Christophe Penasse founded Masquespacio in 2010 as a conventional interior design studio to decorate residences.
“We quickly realised that it wasn’t our thing, and that in hospitality and retail design, we could focus more on developing projects using our own creativity and giving our own vision to each of them,” says Penasse.
FORTE
Since its inception, the studio has invested and tried its hand in a series of projects from a variety of design disciplines ranging from branding projects, art direction, event design to even editorial design. After an experimentation phase, they decided to narrow their scope of work. Hernández says, “In 2017, we decided to focus on interior and product design — the disciplines we felt most connected with. Reducing the quantity of services helped us improve our projects. We have also been focusing on hospitality design, although we still do interesting projects for stores, offices and other businesses. Since then, we have not only excelled in interior designing but also gained more clients.”
