This table runner goes together quickly with precut 21/2" strips and some easy fusible appliqué.
MATERIALS
Scrap dark gray
2 (21/2" by fabric width) strips each pale gray and light-medium gray prints or tonals
1 fat quarter red dots
3/8 yard medium gray print
11/4yards light gray dots
Backing to size
Batting to size
Thread
1/2yard fusible web with paper release
Basic sewing tools and supplies
PROJECT NOTE
Substitute 21/2" precut strips for all 21/2" pieces to make a more scrappy center.
CUTTING
Prepare appliqué pieces for fusible appliqué as per patterns and referring to Raw-Edge Fusible Appliqué on page 28.
From 21/2" by fabric width strips:
• Cut pale gray strips into 12 (21/2" x 41/2") B rectangles.
• Cut light-medium gray strips into 12 (21/2" x 41/2") C rectangles.
From medium gray print:
• Cut 2 (21/2" by fabric width) strips. Subcut strips into 12 (21/2" x 61/2") A rectangles.
