THE GARDEN
An award-winning, sloping garden, which complements the modern architecture. Minimalist plantings near the house give way to more natural rocky areas.
When landscape architect Warren Lange was approached to design a garden in conjunction with architect Nico van der Meulen and landscape contractor DIG (Design in Garden), the aim was to create a strikingly modern garden that would complement the style of the house.
The natural setting on the slopes adjoining the Bill Stewart Nature Reserve in Bedfordview provided the inspiration. “We started by clearing the rocky areas of exotic vegetation, retaining all the indigenous trees and introducing more endemic plants to rehabilitate the area,” says Warren.
