Can you tell us a bit about the work Woking & Sam Beare Hospice does?
Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care is a patient-led charity that provides specialist services to thousands of Surrey families. It cares for individuals (and their families and carers) who are living with advanced complex conditions both in the community and at the Goldsworth Park Centre in Woking.
What motivated you to take on the CEO role voluntarily?
I am in the fortunate position that I can provide my time free of charge and genuinely believe that every member of my team would do the same if they could afford to do so. I am only too aware that disease is no respecter of class, gender, creed or lifestyle.
