Tell us something about your journey as a designer...
I always knew it was interiors and home wares that fascinate me and I’ve been very lucky to work in this field. I like to work in an area that demands creativity and innovation. It is a challenge but a rewarding one. I have also worked in retail sector and in a less creative capacity during my initial work life, but I feel that being creative is what gets me out of the bed every morning. So thank goodness, I’ve had this fantastic opportunity.
What are the themes that you take while working?
Working on the Christy brand means that heritage is a theme that occurs regularly. This could mean beautiful historic damasks or exotic chinoiserie prints from the Victorian era - sometimes it’s amazing how contemporary and on-trend they look with the right colour approach.
