Husna Rahaman, Fulcrum
A name to reckon with, multi-award winning designer, Husna Rahaman is an alumni of the Parsons School of Design, New York. The adventurous designer who is a travel freak was recently awarded for her efforts of resurrecting Indian craft into a modern and relevant dialogue with the world. Ask her about her take on the future of the Indian design industry, and pat comes the reply, “Design Lab India Inc. is poised to be the juggernaut of the big design landscape.
The layered antiquity of its heritage, the astounding artistry and it’s abundant astute modern minds are this magic potions components.” Commenting on the crossover between India and the international design fraternity she adds, “The subliminal crossover of ideology is what makes the design canvas so enchanting. India is the womb of civilisation and it is not without hubris that I say that at some point and on some level everyone will be seduced by her.”
