Model Mother And Daughter

When it comes to style, there’s always something we have to thank our mums for, whether it’s good genes or a good pair of jeans. This Mother’s Day, model Angie Watkins can thank her mum Patricia for both.

Angie, what did you covet from your mum’s wardrobe as a child?

Angie: She used to have these nude strappy high heels and I was obsessed with them. Mum would never let me play with them because they were so expensive! She actually took the box and put it on the top shelf where I couldn’t reach... until I got taller.

Patricia: I remember that. I would tell her not to touch them, but when I came home I could tell that she had. I love accessories. I’m a big fan of watches, rings and bracelets. Actually, that’s how we started dressing up together. I would ask Angie, “Do I look nice in this?” And she would say, “Oh no, no, take this one instead,” and she would go get something from her cupboard.
