GRAPHIC NOVEL

If you ever need proof that bad events can sometimes lead to good outcomes, just ask William Graham. With his wife Michelle, William runs The Graphics Boat, which tours the inland waterways offering a vinyl signwriting graphics (the couple also work with clothing).

“We both had full-time jobs,” said William. “I worked in the construction sector with my brother, but things became difficult with the recession. We already had a boat and wondered how we could make a living travelling round the country.”

So, in 2007, Michelle gave up an accountancy career to get the business going and the couple began their new life, discovering a seasonal element to canalside demand for its product; so online business is very important.
