Scott Brown answers the fans and reveals his favourite goal, what his best Christmas present would be and who is the dressing-room DJ
SCOTT Brown grew up idolising Diego Maradona and Roberto Baggio – and his perfect Christmas present this year would be a Glasgow derby victory in the final match of 2017.
These were a flavour of the answers the Celtic captain delivered to fans who had taken to Twitter in their droves to quiz the 32-year-old for this year’s Celtic View Christmas Special.
As ever, the skipper was delighted to engage with the Hoops faithful, taking time out of his busy schedule at Lennoxtown to respond to the questions posted by supporters, which covered a wide variety of topics on and off the field.
WHAT’S BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE GAME THIS SEASON AND WHY?
@Leanne_UnionJ_x
Winning 5-0 at home to Astana to get into the Champions League. We always knew it was going to be hard to go away from home in the play-off but when you get a four-goal cushion, it always helps. There was a really good atmosphere that night. The Green Brigade were back in and it made a huge difference to the atmosphere.
WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE TROPHY AND WHY?
@kiramulcahy28
The Scottish Cup against Aberdeen on the last day of last season when Tom Rogic scored in the last minute to go through the whole season as Invincibles. To do in that style meant so much to everyone and it was a weight off our shoulders as well because it had been a long time since we had all three trophies back at Celtic Park. It was one of the reasons why I signed and I always wanted to do it and now I have been lucky enough to do it. In Ronny’s first season we had a great chance and we just missed out on it and I thought the opportunity was slipping out of our hands but we managed to do it last year in style.
