Moussa Dembele has enjoyed an impressive start to his Celtic career, and the young Frenchman is looking forward to scoring many more goals for the Hoops

CELTIC striker Moussa Dembele isn’t fazed by anything. When it took him a couple of games to get off the mark at Celtic, he didn’t worry. He stayed calm and believed in himself and was confident enough to eventually come off the bench for the Bhoys and decide the home leg of the UEFA Champions League qualifier against FC Astana with a last-minute penalty.

When the next test came in the shape of his first Glasgow derby appearance, the young Frenchman scored a perfect hat-trick, demolishing Rangers with his head, right foot and left.

The goals continued to flow from the 20-year-old and it didn’t seem to matter if it was Motherwell or Manchester City, Dembele powered his way past them all and that’s why he’s not nervous in the slightest for the visit of Lionel Messi and Co tonight at Celtic Park.

The Bhoys take on Barcelona in a UEFA Champions League clash, with their hopes of qualifying for the last 16 of the competition hanging in the balance. The Catalan side will progress to the knockout stages if they win or if Borussia Monchengladbach fail to beat Manchester City in the other Group C game.

Celtic, however, need a win to retain any hope of Champions League football after Christmas, but true to form, Dembele is confident that can be achieved.

“I’m feeling good, even if last time didn’t go well for us, I still feel confident that we can get a result at home against what I would say is the best team in the world,” he told the Celtic View in an exclusive interview. “We have nothing to lose so we have to go and be proud of ourselves and give everything.

“For me a game is a game. It doesn’t matter what’s at stake, I play the same way. It’s more about everyone around and in the club, to not put more pressure on ourselves than there already is.
