As many wait for the window to return home, we’re grateful for the communities and networks that keep us going. Here, we chat with Daniela Erni, Vice President of the Swiss Association of Singapore, on how to make the most of these lifelines.
Tell us about yourself. Where is “home”?
Half of my heart is in Switzerland, while the other is in love with Asia. I grew up in the eastern valley of the Swiss Alps. As a masters graduate in business, I spent more than a decade in the financial world of Zurich, creating and orchestrating events, both domestic and international.
Before my husband and I decided to move to Singapore, we spent a little over a year travelling around the world. This inspired me to follow my passion and harness my experience in a different direction. In 2020, my company Create Your Story was born, helping couples to plan their perfect wedding in Singapore or Switzerland.
You’re also the Vice President at the Swiss Association of Singapore; how did that come about?
