In a recent post on Instagram, actor and author Twinkle Khanna reflected on the year gone by, which included the birth of her third child—a bilingual, digital media platform for women called Tweak India. As she celebrated its first birthday in September, Bazaar had a candid chat with her about her inspiration, her favourite authors, what keeps her up at night, and more.
Harper’s Bazaar: Congratulations on Tweak India turning one—tell us about why and how you launched the platform.
Twinkle Khanna: When I started writing, I realised how many women reaching out to me were looking for ways to make their lives easier. The simpler way would have been to host an Oprah-like show. I did get many offers, but I also knew that being in the spotlight would eventually give me a heatstroke. Tweak was another way of doing the same work, but in my pyjamas (on most days).
HB: What’s the one new thing you have learnt this year?
