Natural light and fresh air form the core of this elegant space.
Located in Bandar Baru Bangi, this two-storey terrace house belongs to Shahrin Mohd Nasir, 37, and Fatimah Ani Syahira Zulkifli, 31 – a husband-and-wife duo who were adamant in creating a space which allows harmonious elements to flow through it. Daring to step outside the usual interior design boundaries, their cosy home is in line with the everchanging times.
A FUNCTIONAL SPACE
Together with their three children, they’ve been calling this space home since last December – a renovated vision of a property that has long belonged to the family, in preparation of their growth. Prior to this, they were all living in Shahrin’s mum’s home in Country Heights, Kajang. When queried regarding their location choice, they explained that it made sense because they wanted a family home that was not only comfortable to live in, but had convenient access to multiple facilities.
“Compared to many other residential townships, Bandar Baru Bangi is less congested. The house is also near amenities such as a school, mosque, market, recreational park, shopping complex, and more. On top of that, we’re at the end of a closed road, so it’s quite safe for our kids to play outdoors without having to worry about traffic. We have plenty of privacy as well, seeing as there are no other houses behind ours – only a huge field with big, shady trees that afford us a cooler environment,” says Syahira.
