DISTRIBUTOR B&W Group Ltd.
It might not bring the shock of the new to the group, but as B&W’s flagship wireless ANC model, the PX7 knocks on the door of shockingly good in most key areas and is something of a looker to boot. Early doors implementation of Qualcomm’s 24-bit/48kHz-compatible aptX HD Bluetooth codec grabbed headlines back in 2020, but it’s the PX7’s thorough-going quality that has kept it competitive. So, a high bar to negotiate for the rest.
B&W’s headphones have always shared a distinctive design and choice of materials and the PX7 is no different with a hard-wearing fabric finish on the oval earcups and dog leg-shaped headband arms – now made from a custom carbon fibre composite that is lighter than the metal previously used. That said, at 310g, the PX7 is far from the lightest in the group but, with a plumply-padded headband and nicely judged earpad pressure, it is among the most comfortable.
