A NEW TOWN TRAIL
Ipswich Borough Council and others have set up a new Town Trail which follows the journey Ed took on his road to stardom. It includes Christchurch Park where Ed played at Music Day, pubs when the audiences numbered a few dozen rather than the 80,000 at Wembley, and the university where Ed got an honorary degree.
The trail starts at Ed’s beloved Ipswich Town Football Club and ends at Christchurch Mansion, home to the Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk exhibition.
A unique and free Ipswich exhibition on the life of Ed Sheeran has been attracting visitors from around the world – and from across his home county of Suffolk. And there is still plenty of time to visit it.
Curated by Ed’s father John, Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk features many intimate works that have never been seen before.
There are portraits by renowned artist Colin Davidson, photography by Mark Surridge and personal items portraying the journey from Ed’s school life in Suffolk to international stardom.
