Lily Ong discovers that entrepreneurship is a challenge made for Greenbulb Energy’s adventurous founder Andy Low

At the time engineer Andy Low launched his turnkey company, specialising in modernising port cranes in 2014, he was aware that he was taking a huge gamble by leaving a secure job behind for this endeavour. But Low, a lifelong lover of extreme sports, associates the ups and downs in business to a personal hobby of his—mountain biking; which he once did in Tagaytay, Philippines.

“There was once when I was on this route, and I encountered a steep uphill climb that pushed me to my limit, but I refused to give up and persisted through the route. I thought I had already conquered my fear after that climb, until I had to navigate another narrow path downhill at high speeds. It was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time, but it taught me that nothing uncomfortable lasts forever,” recalls this quiet, soft-spoken managing director of Greenbulb Energy.
