Bindi’s big day has already been rocked by family turmoil

It would normally be a time when a family unites to start planning the big day. But amid the excitement of Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell’s engagement comes the sad news that not everyone is celebrating their upcoming nuptials.

New Idea has learnt exclusively that Bob Irwin – father of Crocodile Hunter Steve – has reignited a longrunning family feud by refusing to extend his well-wishes to his estranged granddaughter and future grandson-in-law.

According to a source who spoke to the 80-year-old at his 259ha property at Wattle Camp, three hours out of Brisbane, Bob made it clear that he is unwilling to push aside past problems within the family.

“I want nothing to do with any of it,” he said when asked about the happy news. Bob appeared to confirm that he had no intention of attending the family celebrations.

“I’m not the slightest bit interested in it. I am not interested, not the slightest bit. I have had years and years of this stuff,” he said.
