AN EXCITING NEW CHAPTER AWAITS THE POPULAR PRESENTER

It doesn’t take long to figure out the fabulously funny Erin Molan, a much-respected journalist and broadcaster, is more than just a pretty face.

Called everything over her 18-year career, from blonde bimbo to a series of unrepeatable taunts, Erin, a single mum to gorgeous 3-year-old daughter Eliza, can’t think of a time she’s ever been more content.

“I’ve come out the other side – and with hand on heart, particularly since having Eliza, life is pretty darn close to perfect,” Erin, 38, shares with New Idea on the eve of her fourth Mother’s Day.

Last year, the usually upbeat Erin got dangerously close to hitting rock bottom. In September, she made the shock announcement she was splitting from Eliza’s dad, homicide detective Sean Ogilvy. Three months later, she dropped another bombshell – after 10 years of working as a sports presenter for the Nine Network, she was closing the chapter.

“In both circumstances, it was time to move on,” Erin now says matter-of-factly. “Sean and I are committed to co-parenting – I just have to get used to not having Eliza around every night.”
