Is the TV host’s career going to plan?
He’s the talk of the town and it seems that everyone is calling for Karl Stefanovic’s return to Today. Now a source reveals exclusively to New Idea that while the TV host will be back behind the news desk next year, his time will be cut short, as the show plans to dump him – again – after a very brief stint!
“Karl has a done deal to go back to Today to launch the show next year,” the source says. “For three months.”
At this year’s Logies, Karl was seen hugging Nine Network CEO Hugh Marks and his appearance at the event, which he attended without his wife Jasmine, seemed to officially mark the beginning of his big comeback.
“They have realised they need an alpha male co-host back on Today. Enter Karl … who agreed to go into the wilderness for a year,” a source told New Idea.
