On the eve of Abigail’s milestone 75th birthday on July 23, a close friend explains the actress has been hiding a terrible experience with an obsessed stalker!

The deranged fan is said to have thrown the actress’ “happy life” into chaos, forcing her to double down on her reclusivity.

“Abigail was frightened for her life!” tells the close friend, who says the ’70s sex symbol was repeatedly accosted by the fan, including one terrible situation at a hairdresser near her NSW home.

Following a string of very uncomfortable encounters, the friend says Abigail, who starred in iconic Aussie series Number 96 and Sons and Daughters, is now too scared to return to some of her favourite local spots – including her hair salon.
