Royal Salute, known for its exquisitely blended whiskies, has released its latest expression in collaboration with British couture fashion designer, Richard Quinn. This up-and-coming talent in the London fashion industry has worked his unique floral designs overlaid on the porcelain flagons of Royal Salute.
The Royal Salute 21-Year-Old Richard Quinn Edition was released during London Fashion Week in September 2021, which takes inspirations from interpretations of flower patterns with a modern edge, resulting in bold and vivid prints of white and blue – elegant, strong and regal.
The flagon is presented in two ways, one with a white background with patterned flower in a lighter blue, while the other is a darker blue emblazoned with the same lighter blue flowers, symbolising the harmony and beauty with the lighter blue rose petals, with both patterns intertwined with the thorns on the stems symbolising modernity and elegant edginess.
This collaboration is rooted in the desire to push craftsmanship beyond expectation, where both strength and elegance are able to dance side by side, from whisky blending to high fashion as is seen in Quinn’s critically acclaimed bold and emotive style, even gaining recognition by Her Majesty herself, Queen Elizabeth II, where Quinn was awarded the “Award for British Design” in 2018.
