Fashion designer, Pratimaa Pandey specialises in fusion wear inspired from rich Indian textiles. The label Pramaa by Pandey focuses on eclectic designs with understated elegance and showcases regal craftsmanship. Pandey shares her views on the Indian fashion and beauty industry with Salon India
How did you get started in the fashion business? What was your source of inspiration?
I love the creative space that fashion provides. It is liberating in its own unique way when you can express your thoughts via designs. I was determined to pursue a career in fashion and went on to do masters from NIFT. On completion of the course, I launched my label Pramaa. I believe the rich Indian textiles has always inspired me and my creative space.
How important are hair and make-up in fashion?
Hair and make-up are the two indispensable aspects in fashion. Right make-up and hair completes the ensemble and elevates the concept of the design. These are the make or break factors, when it comes to fashion.
