Alok’s day, was on full swing; He tosses his sight on MG road as he sips his 11am-ish Indian chai from the rooftop cafe of his office. Cars like tiny toys twisting and turning in all directions and people moving around like ants. Everyone with a different priority and a unique perspective. It's a sight worth watching.
All four sides of this rooftop café were open with an overhead hard fabric sheet as protection from the weather. One side was open to this busy street, to the left and right the view was restricted to the extent of the hard-concrete walls of the neighbouring buildings. The fastgrowing concrete jungle. The other side, the side opposite to the busy street, towards the back of the building was a wide-open green land.
A contrasting view compared to the other side. Trees and greenery widespread. Not for long though! The concrete jungle is like the amoeba. It keeps growing as it moves. It's like the half-finished work of an artist, that green patch will soon be painted pale. For now, it is green!
Alok walks to this side where he found the usual bunch of soaring eagles in the skies. They were always there. He loves to watch them glide. The heavy traffic, honks and pollution on the other bank does not bother them at all.
“I wish I could fly with them”, he muttered as he took another sip of his Indian chai
