Fifty years on, and Van Cleef & Arpels’s Alhambra comes full circle as its first edition, a textured yellow gold Alhambra motif, is reimagined with a guilloché technique.
“ALHAMBRA IS THAT extremely rare thing. It is instantly recognisable, forever developing, and simultaneously, thanks to a half-century of uninterrupted production, anchored by deep cultural roots,” wrote acclaimed author Nicholas Foulkes, as an opening of the first chapter of “Alhambra”, a coffee table book dedicated to the jewellery design icon from Van Cleef & Arpels, which was published in conjunction with the brand’s 50th anniversary this year.
