Xiaomi goes for the youth with the selfie-friendly phone

When you have a phone as successful as the Redmi Note 5, you don’t try to complete it with another phone at a similar price. However, Xiaomi feels differently. The recently announced Redmi Y2 starts at the same price as Redmi Note 5 but the reason that Xiaomi reckons that Redmi Y2 won’t cannibalise Redmi Note 5’s sales or vice versa is that the Redmi Y2 is targeted at selfie lovers.
