The QN900A is 2021’s most cutting-edge LCD TV. Its ‘Infinity’ design, for instance, delivers the QN900A’s huge pictures (our personal favourite is the glorious 75-inch) from a frame so narrow you can barely see it. Connections include four HDMIs capable of handling the latest video gaming features of 4K at 120Hz and variable refresh rates. In fact, it even supports the Freesync Premium Pro VRR system. It boasts an 8K resolution with AI-backed upscaling and, most impressive of all, it uses mini-LED backlighting. This shrinks the usual LEDs down so that lots more of them can be used to illuminate the picture. Couple this with thousands of separately controlled light zones and premium Quantum Dot colour technology and you’ve got a picture able to do unique justice to the brightness, colour range and contrast of HDR, despite a lack of Dolby Vision HDR support.
