Dates For Nature Lovers
REACH FOR THE STARS
BUDGET: $0
Go for a quiet walk together on a clear night, and spend time together gazing at the stars. Cliché as it may sound, few activities feel more romantic than stargazing while snuggling up in your husband’s strong arms. Alternatively, head over to the Science Centre Observatory on Friday nights between 7.45 to 10 pm, where basic astronomy talks are held every second Friday of the month. Admission is free but due to limited capacity at the main telescope, you’ll need to collect a Q card (given out from 7.30 pm at the registration counter, while cards last). Visit www.facebook. com/SCObservatory for more details.
SHARE A LOVE FOR ANIMALS
Do good and present your caring side at the same time. There’s nothing more purposeful than being able to make a difference to those in need of help – and doing it together bonds you at a deeper level. If you’re both animal lovers, volunteer your time at a local shelter like Causes for Animals Singapore (CAS). The CAS Adoption Centre is always in need of helping hands for daily care of the dogs and maintenance of the shelter grounds. Register your interest at causesforanimals.com.
