Tina Muir - 2:36 Marathoner
Outdoor Fitness|Issue 69

Hi new friends! I am excited to share my journey with you, and hopefully provide some insight that can help you with your running... or maybe just give you something to laugh about as you put your feet up after a long run.

Tina Muir - 2:36 Marathoner

Okay, so first off, I have a confession, I am a bit of a traitor. I am from St Albans in Herts, but I actually now live in the US, yes the land of you-know-who. I started out by going to university in the US on what they call a “full ride” for my running (which basically means they pay for pretty much everything except the flights back and forth). I loved the opportunities out here, and I had improved in my running a lot by the time I finished my degree, so I stayed on, excited about my potential in the half marathon and marathon. I had always loved my long runs! (I had also met my now husband, Steve, so that might have been a small part of my decision.) I am still here, and as much as it kills me to say it, don’t think I will ever return to the UK to live there. So I am sorry for leaving my roots, but I still love home. I hope you can forgive me!
