Efficiency in Steel

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL), the corporate entity of state-owned Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (Vizag Steel), which has raised its total production capacity to 6.3 Million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) with an investment of around Rs. 12,300 crore, is moving ahead with the modernisation and capacity enhancement programme with an additional investment of Rs. 4,000 crore. By the end of 2017, the steelmaker is targeting to reach 7.3 Mtpa capacity along with matching downstream facility in place.
