CONVICTED REECE WON'T BE A ROBIN

In April 2019, a court heard how the 26-year-old attacked partner Danielle Thomas with an iron bar, smashed two mirrors over her head and forced her to eat paint during three days of abuse.

Thompson was convicted of assault and grievous bodily harm and sentenced to three years and four months in prison with a restraining order lasting ten years.

The striker, who played for York City in League Two and has featured in Non-League for Retford United, Frickley Athletic, Boston United, North Ferriby United and Guiseley, served just nine months of his sentence and joined Mickleover Sports in January.
