THE Defence Secretary revealed yesterday that the UK has sent Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine as it prepares a crunch counteroffensive against Russia.
And Ben Wallace told MPs: "This is a calibrated and proportionate response to Russia's escalation. Russia must recognise that their actions alone have led to such systems being provided to Ukraine."
The 620mph Storm Shadow has a range of 155 miles and can evade enemy radar defences by flying as low as 130ft off the ground. The 2,900lb missile, made by Britain and France, is fired from warplanes.
