A WOMAN who claims she was sexually assaulted by former Celtic star Paddy McCourt “felt someone put their hand up the rear of my dress”, a court heard yesterday.
Northern Ireland international McCourt, 39, denies the claim.
The incident is alleged to have happened in Bar 57 in Derry just after midnight on January 30, 2022.
At Bishop Street Magistrates’ Court, the complainant – who cannot be named for legal reasons – said the alleged incident occurred “when I was a bit tipsy, I’d had a few drinks” and that it had left her shocked and traumatised.
