Jake: Point For Well Is Step Closer To Europe

Jake Carroll helped Motherwell keep Hibs at arms length in the race for Europe and insisted the 0-0 draw was a better point for his team.

A red card for Liam Donnelly saw Well battle with a man down for the last 20 minutes but Carroll, who slotted in at centre-back alongside Sondre Solholm, kept Hibs at bay to such an extent that Liam Kelly didn't have a save to make throughout the match.

The share of the spoils saw Graham Alexander's men maintain their two-point lead over fifth-placed Hibs and took them to within seven of Hearts who they face at Tynecastle tomorrow.

And the Irishman believes his side will travel to the capital with confidence intact.
