STEPHEN GLASS has already taken a big scalp in the CONCACAF Champions League.

Now the Aberdeen boss believes that can help him lead the Pittodrie side on a dream European run.

His new-look Dons make their Europa Conference League bow tomorrow night at home to Swedes BK Hacken.

It will be Glass’ first European game as Dons boss – and he hopes it goes as well as his first continental clash in North America as a manager.

Then he was the interim boss of Atlanta United when they beat Club America 1-0 in North and Central America’s top club competition late last year.

It wasn’t enough to send Atlanta through as they had lost 3-0 to the Mexican heavyweights in the pre-pandemic first leg under Frank de Boer nine months earlier. But Glass hopes it stands him in good stead on this side of the Atlantic.
