Why Was Rape Rap Fugitive Allowed Into UK?

A WOMAN sexually assaulted by fugitive Nicholas Rossi in the US has blasted police for allowing him to enter the UK.

His victim, who was attacked in 2008 when just a teenager, said she was stunned to discover he had entered Scotland, where is he now fighting extradition to America over two alleged rapes in Utah.

And she said women were at risk while Rossi was on the loose.

THE sexual assault victim of fugitive rape suspect Nicholas Rossi has demanded to know how he was able to travel to the UK placing British women at risk.

The woman, now 33, has asked why officials here and in the US allowed the American to cross the Atlantic given his conviction against her.

Rossi, 35, was arrested in Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital last December while being treated for Covid-19.

It emerged he had set up home in the city and was using different aliases.

Now he is fighting extradition from the UK over two rapes charges in Utah.

But Rossi is facing claims at Glasgow Sheriff Court he threatened two medics and is alleged to have carried out a sexual assault in Essex.

The suspect says he is the victim of mistaken identity and is actually an Irishman called Arthur Knight who has never been to America.

His claims have been dismissed in court after fingerprints held in the US proved his true identity.

Rossi was convicted of sexual assault against a teenage victim in May 2008 after meeting her on social media site MySpace while at college in Dayton, Ohio.

By US law, he is supposed to report in person each month to sign the register but his victim said police failed to enforce it.
