Capital suffers violent frenzy. Thugs on rampage in heat

SOARING temperatures triggered a knife and gun frenzy in London.

One man was left fighting for his life after being hacked in a machete and hammer battle between four thugs.

Three others were taken to hospital after separate slashings across the capital.

Criminology professor David Wilson blamed the spike in violence on the heat hitting post lockdown Brits.

Screams could be heard in chilling mobile phone footage from the first of four attacks within eight hours on Wednesday.

Four men were filmed in a face-off with large knives and a hammer near the River Thames in Greenwich, south London, at 4.30pm.
