British spooks rumbled Vladimir Putin’s battle plans by tracking randy Russians’ attempts to hook up with Ukrainians on dating apps.

Security services said the invaders were “particularly unguarded” on dating apps such as Tinder and Grindr.

And data from VKontakte – the Russian equivalent of Facebook – revealed minute details such as the movement of Russian blood supplies to the frontline in preparation to treat wounded soldiers.

A security source said: “These sites were a treasure trove for our spies – and the dating apps in particular.
