A beach in Yorkshire has been crowned one of the best in Europe.
Filey Beach, near Scarborough, made the top 20 list alongside more glamorous locations including Crete and Cyprus.
The east coast’s five-mile stretch of sand was hailed for being good for walking and dog friendly.
And it was not the only English spot to make the list from US guide Far & Wide, which is based on TripAdvisor reviews.
Two Cornish resorts, Porthminster in St Ives and Perranporth, also got ranked in the top 20, while Bournemouth finished fifth.
