The National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) has confirmed that all returnees from outside the country must adhere to the 14-day-quarantine even if they test negative to COVID-19.
The authorities state that there is a Dhs-50,000 fine for non-compliance with home quarantine instructions.
On Wednesday, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said on Twitter zero COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours and praised the frontliners.
NCEMA said, “This period may be reduced to seven days in some cases such as professions in vital sectors or for those who came from low risk countries.”
It also stressed the importance of abidance by the mandatory health requirements in order to preserve the public health, taking into account the procedures and requirements adopted.
The UAE Ministry of Health on Wednesday conducted more than 48,000 tests, and reported 275 new cases of the coronavirus, and 393 recoveries.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed praised the efforts of the UAE’s frontline workers after zero coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
