The alert employees of the zoo managed to rescue him unhurt after tranquillising the wild animal.
According to the zoo officials, the incident took place around 12.30 pm on Thursday, when Rehan Khan, a native of east Champaran district of Bihar, who currently lives with his parents in Seelampur area in North East Delhi, entered into the enclosure of the lion. Delhi zoo curator and spokesperson, Riyaz Khan, said that till the time the employees and security guard reached the spot Rehan had crossed the bamboo-fence, the hedges and got down the moat, which was 20-feet below.
