Narain Karthikeyan, India’s fastest man behind the wheels, feels this year’s moto sports calendar around the world is as good as over. As one who has been travelling for over three decades as a race driver, Narain is now in Coimbatore with his family.
“Yes, I am getting bored right now, having to spend all my time at home. But then, the way it is outside, it is better to be safe and healthy,” Narain told MAIL TODAY on Thursday.
He is a bit concerned about the situation in Coimbatore as the number of positive COVID19 cases has risen. “It is very strict in Coimbatore now and this is needed,” said Narain.
Having done well in the Super GT racing series in Japan last year, Narain was planning to race in Europe this year. “I wanted to race in the Le Mans series and a few more events. I guess everything is as good as over now for racing as Europe has been hit badly,” said an emotional Narain.
