An FIR was registered at the Sadar police station in Muzaffarpur on Thursday against 49 eminent personalities, including historian Ramchandra Guha and filmmaker Mani Ratnam and Aparna Sen, who had raised concern over the growing incidents of mob lynching during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government.
The FIR was registered on the directions of the Muzaffarpur Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Suryakant Tiwari passed on August 20.
