Two years have passed since the construction of Ashta national highway began, but the work is yet to finish. The delay in work by the contractor has caused troubles to commuters who have expressed resentment against his style of working.

Apart from that, the residents of nearby villages are angry because the construction of a culvert has yet to be finished.

As the culvert over a drain has not been constructed, rainwater entered many farmlands damaging soybean crops, a group of farmers said.

The villagers informed the people’s representatives about their problems, but an action to solve their problems is yet to be taken.
