Opposition demands in Lok Sabha that the Prime Minister issue a clarification himself.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the Deputy Leader of the Lok Sabha, categorically stated in the House on Wednesday that no discussion on Kashmir held at the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Japan recently.
There was no question of any mediation on the issue, he said amid Opposition demand that Mr. Modi himself issue a clarification.
Mr. Singh made the statement even as the Opposition staged a walkout over the issue after major protests during Question Hour that spilled over.
